The Captain of Wikki Tourists, Idris Muhammed Guda, has said that the ‘Bauchi Elephants’ are battle ready for the coming 2022/23 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
Guda made the disclosure after the club’s training at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa stadium Bauchi ahead of the opening game against Niger Tornadoes on Sunday.
“We have been training so hard since resuming camp after the last break and the couple of matches we have played in both pre-season friendlies and local competitions are pointers to how prepared we are as a team,” said Guda.
On the abridge league format adopted by the Interim Management Committee (IMC) for the coming season, Guda admitted that it will be tough but was quick to add that Wikki Tourists are ready to give all they have to ensure victory.

According to him, the seminar has greatly impacted everyone with more knowledge and understanding of the rules of the game which he said would be helpful during the league season.
Guda also used the opportunity to appeal for more understanding and prayers from the club’s teeming supporters.
Wikki Tourists are in the same group with Lobi Stars, Abia Warriors, Rivers United, Rangers, Doma United, Bayelsa United, Niger Tornadoes, Dakkada and Sunshine Stars.
