In the letter of resignation, the former Enyimba coach said “With most respect and gratitude for having given me the privilege to work with you, I am very sad to tender my resignation as the Technical Adviser of Wikki Tourists football club of Bauchi. I wish Wikki Tourists football club success in its future endeavours.”

Although Abd’Allah did not give any reason for his action, it may not be unconnected with the team’s recent poor results in the ongoing NPFL season.

The club under Abd’Allah had suffered back to back losses leading to calls for his sack.

Daily Trust recalls that in the opening match of the second round, Wikki Tourists were humiliated 5-1 at Katsina United before they returned home to suffer another embarrassing 1-2 loss at home to Nasarawa United last Sunday in week 21.

The free-fall of Wikki Tourists had prompted the State chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) to call on the Government to as a matter of urgency set up a committee to investigate the problems facing the club with a view to find a lasting solution.
