The immediate past governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, has hailed his counterpart, Nyesom Wike and Professor Joseph Utsev on their appointment and inauguration as ministers by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Ortom said the former Rivers State governor, Wike and Professor Utsev whom he knows personally as a friend in the case of Wike and a former appointee in the case of Utsev, will bring their wealth of experiences to bear on their new appointments.
He described Wike as a worthy ally who deepened the relationship between Rivers and Benue states, as well as stood by Benue people in difficult times.
The former governor in a statement by Terver Akase, his media aide, added that as a “dogged, reliable and seasoned administrator”, Wike will bring the desired development to the FCT as minister.

He equally expressed optimism that Professor Utsev who served under him as Commissioner for Water Resources and Environment has the requisite experience and capacity to excel as the Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation.
