The FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has assured residents of Kwali Area Council of his willingness to complete the construction of the abandoned Kwali township stadium.
Wike, who gave the assurance on Wednesday while flagging-off the construction of 11 km Kwali-Sukuku-Abo road, also promised the residents that all abandoned projects in the area council inherited by his administration would be completed. Our correspondent reports that the 20,000 capacity sporting facilities was awarded alongside five others across the six area councils of the territory during the administration of Bala Mohammed.
The conception of the project was geared towards the development of sporting activities in the grassroot.
While assuring residents of the territory of President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to improving their welfare through massive project provisions and job creation, the minister empathised with residents over the high cost of living being experienced at the moment, noting that the situation is temporary.
