The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike yesterday approved the appointment of Dr Uche Chukwuma as the Acting Director General of the Neighbourhood Safety Agency.
A statement by Simeon Nwakaudu, Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor on Electronic Media noted that Dr Chukwuma who retired as an Assistant Commissioner of Police holds a Doctorate degree and is a seasoned security professional.

The governor gave his assent to the Neighbourhood Safety Corps Law No.8 of 2018 passed by the Rivers State House of Assembly on Thursday.
