A widow has reportedly died in a midnight fire that gutted her house in Mbagen community of Buruku Local Government Area in Benue State.
Our correspondent gathered that the widow, a nurse by profession, whose name was given as Mrs Aondozungwe but popularly known as sister Nyihemba, was said to have died in the fire in the early hours of Friday.

But the death has raised suspicion among residents of the rural community who allege that she might have been set ablaze to cover-up a murder.
The deceased had about a week ago raised an alarm that her life was under threat by a relative for yet to be ascertained reasons.
A witness told our correspondent by telephone that the late nurse hailed from Mbaityough community while she died in a fire at her house in Mbagen community, all in Buruku LGA.
Though the remains of the deceased were buried in her hometown on Saturday, some residents of the area are calling on security agencies to find her killers.
When contacted, the spokesperson of the Benue State Police Command, DSP Catherine Anene, confirmed the fire incident, adding that she would make public any further development.
“The fire incident was reported. Investigation is in progress,” Anene said.
