Every woman is beautiful, and a good percentage of that beauty comes from taking care of the skin, Gift Emmanuel, the CEO of Cherry Skincare has said.
Gift who treats skin for a living said it was erroneous for people to see skin treatment as something meant for light-skinned people.
Speaking about her beauty pageant tagged, ‘September to remember’, she said it was to advocate for effective body maintenance.
Among the 10 girls who competed, Gift said, “Miss Cherry Skin Care” and “The Face of Cherry Skincare” were crowned at the event in Abuja.
Gift said she has always been the face of the products in all the ad campaigns but the newly crowned queens took over for the duration of their reign.
She noted that the winners emerged through criteria like character, composure, beauty and intelligence.
The character and social relationship was monitored while the girls were in the orientation camp prior to the event, she explained.
Her long nurtured dream is to host a pageant that can compete with the known names, and to be able to have ‘queens’ who can be positive role models in the society, Gift said.
For those who want to tow the pageantry line, Gift said they should be wary of people who will try to take advantage of their lack of experience.
