The Traditional Ruler of Ugwuogo Nike community in Enugu East Local Government Area of Enugu State, Igwe Emeka Ugwu, has said that the culture and constitution of the community has made it difficult for him to appoint women into his cabinet.
Acknowledging that the inclusion of women in leadership in the Igwe’s cabinet and other clubs in his community was not a bad idea, Igwe Ugwu insisted that he was hindered by culture and constitution of the Town Union, stressing that there was little or nothing he could do except the constitution of the community was reviewed or amended.
