Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) were at the offices of the Chief Justice of Nigeria Walter Onnoghen to prevent any tampering with State documents, Daily Trust gathered on Monday.
A police source said the men were acting on an intelligence report that the suspension of the CJN may lead to possible tampering with other sensitive government documents.
It was gathered that Onnoghen is expected to clear the office of his personal effects as his suspension is sustained by federal government.
It was noted that the presence of police men at the CJN’s office was not to prevent him from accessing the office.
Attempts to contact the spokesman of the Nigeria Police Force ACP Frank MBA for comments on the police operation was unsuccessful.
He did not respond to calls or replied text messages at the time of filing this report.
