The Kwankwasiyya Development Foundation (KDF) has explained that it sent 370 beneficiaries of its scholarship scheme to foreign universities for their postgraduates in order to give them international exposure.

The chairman of the foundation and former governor of Kano State, Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, disclosed this over the weekend during the maiden job fair and presentation of the newly returned 370 beneficiaries to captains of industries, manufacturers and other local investors for job opportunities.

He said the choice of foreign universities for the beneficiaries was also to equip them with the necessary skills to compete with their peers in other climes.

“It is fulfilling that 13 out of the 370 first-class graduates have already been offered employment in their alma mater in India and are being considered for doctorate degrees,” he added.

Earlier, the representatives of Dangote group of companies, BUA Group, Skyline University, Tiamin Rice Mills and other local investors pledged their readiness to offer jobs to the graduates.
