The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has said there are sustained efforts to undermine its presidential candidate, Engr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, because he is the best man for Nigeria’s presidency.

NNPP’s National Chairman, Prof Rufai Ahmed Alkali, stated this at a media briefing in Abuja on Monday.

He, however, said the efforts to undermine the NNPP’s presidential candidate would be fruitless.

He said, “For us in NNPP, the bedrock of 2023 elections is integrity, capacity or competence and experience. By the grace of God our presidential candidate possesses all these attributes in abundance and he is the candidate to beat and this is precisely why there are sustained but fruitless efforts to undermine his candidature.”

He further said Kwankwaso was prepared to pull Nigerians out of excruciating poverty which the APC government had pushed them into.

He added that, “Both the party and our presidential candidate, His Excellency, Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, remain focused on the need to rescue Nigeria and Nigerians from the clutches of hunger, deprivation and hopelessness. It is indeed not a coincidence that those who pushed our dear country into this category of poverty capital of the world are desperately bent on distracting us from our focus to bring back the glory of the past.”
