The Tax Justice and Governance Platform Nigeria (TJ&GP) have said that inadequate data from government sources and lack of political will on the implementation of the provisions of the fiscal responsibility act 2007 are the topmost factors militating against effective tax justice regime in Nigeria, which must be addressed.
The group disclosed this on Wednesday in Abuja during a roundtable as part of its one-week-long activities to mark The Tax Justice Week, with the theme: ‘Tax Expenditure and the Implication for National Development’.

The forum also identified poor collaborations and coordination among government ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) to report on tax expenditures as other factors militating against effective justice tax regimes in the country.
