Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State is repositioning the state’s economy and empowering thousands of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMES), Hon. Theophilus Imansuangbon has said.
Imansuangbon, a staunch PDP member, told our correspondent that statistics from the Wealth Creation, Cooperative and Employment Office showed that 13,000 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises have benefitted from the about N2 billion MSME fund distributed by 12 microfinance banks in the state.
He said in addition to empowering small businesses, Governor Obaseki, has provided support and safe space for the training and empowerment of over 77,000 people across the 18 local government areas (LGAs) of the state based on data from the Edo State Social Investment Programme.
He noted that when PDP accepted to welcome the governor and also allow him to contest on its platform, it was in recognition of his development-focused governance, adding that the governor deserves a second term.
