‘Why Nigeria inaugurated World Chaplain Association Human Rights’

The UN-Habitat Ambassador to Nigeria, Dr. Raymond Edoh, has said Nigeria inaugurated its chapter of the World Chaplain Association Human Rights (WCAHR) to enhance efforts in curbing insecurity.

In his remarks at the inauguration of the Nigeria Chapter of the World Chaplain Association Human Rights & International Police Chaplain Sustainable Development and Law Enforcement INC., Edoh decried Nigeria’s ranking in terrorism.

He said, “Security Challenges like the advent of Boko Haram Insurgency, extra-judicial killing, Herder men attacks, Niger Delta Militancy, kidnapping, and several others has earned Nigeria a place as one of the top five most dangerous countries in the world along with Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Syria.

“These countries according to the 2015 Global Terrorism Index (GTI) collected and collated by the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism, collectively account for 78% of terrorist attacks in the world.

“This is the main reason Nigeria has inaugurated today it’s Chapter of the World Chaplain Association Human Rights (WCAHR) & International Police Chaplain Sustainable Development and Law Enforcement, INC.

“As the Deputy National Commandant, I would ensure that our best is put in place in other to curb the entire security Challenges in the Country.
