Members of the National Assembly must rise to their constitutional responsibilities and put the executive arm of government on its toes in addressing the rising insecurity in the country, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, who represented Abia North in the eighth Senate, has said.
Ohuabunwa, also a former speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament, stated this while speaking with newsmen in Umuahia. He said the current National Assembly was too quiet and needed to sit up.
“I’m angry with the current National Assembly. I have been at both chambers, so I’m in a better position to say what I’m saying. It’s very unfortunate today that things are falling apart and you are not even hearing them.
