The Special Adviser to the Governor of Benue State on Security and Internal Affairs, Joseph Har, has blamed the current insecurity in the state on errors in policy formulation made by the previous administration.
Har said that the policy formulation errors were responsible for the persistent insecurity which the present government has put structures in place to correct.
The special adviser made this known while declaring open a one day training for staff and partners of the state Peace and Reconciliation Commission with focus on Reflective Structured Dialogue approach to help in bridging divides at work places, homes and in communities.
He assured participants at the workshop organised by the Elohim Development Foundation in collaboration with Karuna Centre for Peace building and Neem Foundation that the administration of Governor Hyacinth Alia was taking proactive steps to correct the wrongs.

Har stressed the need for peace and development as the government and the organised private sector continued in their resolve on conflict resolution and crisis management.
He added that the current administration in the state has adopted a carrot and stick approach in conflict resolution as development would result in an atmosphere of chaos noting that it was cheaper to manage peace than conflict that is expensive.
