Why I’m Still Single – Ini Edo

Sultry Nigerian actress, Ini Edo, says she has remained single because she can only be with a man who truly loves and respects her.

Speaking during an interview with media personality, Toke Makinwa, during a recent episode of her show, Tokemoment, Edo said she wouldn’t consider a toxic relationship.

Edo was once married to businessman, Philip Ehiagwina, in 2008 but the marriage ended in a divorce in 2013. She later said in an interview that she regretted getting married because she later realised it wasn’t the right move to make.

In the recent interview, however, the popular actress stated, “I’m single because all I want is someone who will truly love me. I can’t be in a poisonous relationship if you can’t provide me with the protective energy I need to respect you. I can’t be with someone I don’t respect.

“If you can’t earn my respect then we cannot be together. What’s the point? If you get to a point where the man starts to disrespect you, that means you have brought yourself down to a point where I begin to talk back at you, I begin to disrespect you. Even if you don’t have, it is about how you are able to manage the situation and the people around you; kindness.”
