Why I’m riding bicycle to Saudi Arabia – Jos resident

Ali Abduallahi Obobo, a 43-year-old resident of Jos, Plateau state has explained why he is embarking on a journey to Saudi Arabia on a bicycle.

Obobo told Daily Trust Saturday that his intention to start the journey came as response to series of dreams he had on three consecutive Fridays that he will travel to Saudi Arabia on a bicycle to perform the lesser hajj.

He noted that in his dreams, he was guided by a map of the various routes he would follow to reach Saudi Arabia from Nigeria.

“I got a wholesome support from my family and well-wishers who didn’t only encourage me but prayed to see that the dream becomes reality,” he explained.

Obobo, who arrived Daura, Katsina State yesterday, told our correspondent that his journey will continue on Monday as soon as he gets his papers signed by relevant authorities so as to meet statutory provisions of crossing international boundaries.
