Why I want to govern Anambra – Maduka, PDP aspirant

Anambra State Governorship Aspirant under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Godwin Maduka, has stated that his sole motive of seeking the highest office in the state is to provide selfless service to the people.

Maduka made the statement at his campaign office in Awka,while consulting with PDP women leaders from 21 local government area of the state.

Maduka said that he is praying to God to use him as a tool to touch many lives.

He also stated that God had raised him from extreme poverty to extreme wealth and it is incumbent on him to serve the people with integrity and honesty .

” I am praying to God to make me governor to be able to touch many lives. I am grateful to God for raising me up from extreme poverty to extreme wealth . I want to express my gratitude to God for lifting me up in life.I  want to replicate myself in many people in the state .

“I am a son of palm wine tapper who rose from nowhere to somewhere. God is great and I am grateful to Him,” he said .

Maduka said if he is elected governor, he would prioritise women and youths empowerment.

According to him, women are builders of every home and if they are empowered the society will be better.

“Women are the souls of the family and society. If women are empowered, the children and the husbands are empowered .

“Under me as a governor of Anambra state , women will be employed and carter for , for the development of the state,” he said.

Maduka further stated that he is the best person for the governorship position because he has something that other Aspirants do not have.

“Most importantly, I have God on my side. I am also the best because I am both Catholic and Anglican. I have contributed immensely to building of Anglican and Catholic Churches without knowing that one day I will be into politics.”
