The member representing Sabon Gari Federal Constituency of Kaduna State, Garba Datti Muhammad, has said he is contesting for the position of deputy national chairman of the APC (North) because of his wealth of experience in the legislature.
Datti, 58, who has been in the House of Representatives since 2007, said he would use his experience in bringing understanding between the executive and the legislature.
The lawmaker, a holder of Bachelors and Masters degrees from Bayero University, Kano; and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, respectively, who became a member of the Kaduna State House of Assembly in 2003, said he also played vital role in the merger that gave birth to the APC in 2013.
A key member of the Parliamentary Support Group (PSG), a group supporting President Muhammadu Buhari in the House, Datti said in a statement in Abuja that: “I know a lot about party politics because I’ve been an active politician for about three decades now.”
