Former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Prof Charles Soludo has said his aspiration to govern Anambra state was to secure the future of the state and lift it to greater height.

He made the statement when a coalition of Soludo support groups organised a prayer summit to seek God intervention in his governorship ambition in Awka, Anambra state capital .

During the prayer summit, the group urged Soludo not to succumb to antics of opposition parties and groups to discourage him from contesting the November 6 Gubernatorial election on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the state.

Soludo who is a chieftain of  APGA and one of the governorship aspirants in November 6,2021 poll
said the battle is not about him but about the future of the youths and the state.

Soludo added that the purpose of the prayer summit was to thank God for the answered prayer, noting that with what he saw on ground God has approved the project.

“I see God’s hands in this project and I have accepted to serve my people in Anambra state after serving the world and the nation. Please play your parts actively in the project as God has approved of it.

The representative of various groups should intensify the mobilisstion of their members and others to actualise this great dream,” he said .

He assured that he will be touring and visiting all the 345 wards and 21 local governments in the state to identify with them.

He promised to build on the foundation laid by the present reign of chief Willie Obiano if he becomes the governor .
