Former Ekiti governor Ayodele Fayose before he went in to for questioning at EFCC’s office that was present in line with his promise that “I would be here on the 16th of October, and like I said to EFCC, they should await my arrival.”
He said, “This morning they came to my house, they cordoned off my street, which I feel is unnecessary, it’s unwarranted.”
He said, “When a man says his coming, Nigerians should be given the benefit of doubt, I have led Ekiti and the best I could give, I have given, and therefore any question whatever they ask today I would be able to respond appropriately.
“Nobody should be afraid of the EFCC, especially when you have nothing to hide, I remain courageous for Nigeria,” he added.
Also speaking at the EFCC head office was former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani Kayode, who said, “We are all here to stand in complete solidarity with our friend and brother, and as you can see as his excellence said, he is going in hale and hearty and we expect him to come out well.”
He said , “The international community and the whole world is watching what is going to happen to him.”
