Why I joined APC – Kwaccham

A former candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for Adamawa North senatorial district, Abdurrahman Buba Kwaccham, has decamped to the All Progressives Party (APC).

Citing pressure from elders, he said he bowed to the pressure to attract development to his area and the North-east in general.

In an interview with Daily Trust shortly after the event in Abuja at the weekend, the former SDP chieftain said he regarded political party as a ladder to reach out to people positively rather than a permanent home, insisting that he could not afford to turn down the offer.

“I would use the opportunity to actualise my longtime dream to make Mubi, my hometown, a trade free zone. As a neighbour to Cameroon Republic, this would enhance industrial development that would provide employment to our teeming youths, among others, Kwaccham said.
