Golden Eaglets winger, Abba Yusuf Bichi Jnr has revealed that he didn’t play a game during the FIFA U17 World Cup in Brazil because it was the coach, Manu Garba’s decision not to play him and not because he wasn’t physically fit.
In a chat with him, Bichi said he had garnered enough experiences despite not playing a single minute during the tournament.

It will be recalled that the Nigerian side crashed out of the tournament at the Round of 16 after losing 3-1 to the Netherlands.
“My experience in Brazil was massive as I got to learn so many things despite not playing during the tournament. Even without playing, I have so many things going on in my life.
“I was physically ok but it was the coach’s decision not to put me on the pitch. There is no way I could counter the decision of the coach,” he said.
Bichi further said he has had some offers from some European clubs after the World Cup but was yet to decide on which club he would sign for.
“I have been to so many places after the World Cup as I have deals coming from Valencia in Spain, Sheffield United from England and Belgium. I am still deciding on which club to go.
“I would love to play also in the local league. I will want to help develop football in my country. Before the World Cup, I was supposed to sign with Kano Pillars but for certain reasons, the deal fell through,” he concluded.
