Why I didn’t get APC return ticket – Bulkachuwa

Senator Adamu Mohammed Bulkachuwa, APC senator, Bauchi North, has opened up on why he did not secure a return ticket to the Senate at the APC primaries.

Bulkachuwa made this known when he appeared on Channels Televisions Politics Today on Tuesday.

He said, “Everybody has a way of protesting. The reason I withdrew was very simple. I complained of the process to the team that was sent from Abuja to conduct the primaries for the governorship, senate. I spoke with them and it seems they went to Bauchi with a predetermined mind.”

He added that he tried to ensure things were done right but the answers he got were not convincing.

He said, “The party leadership and the gentle man who is assigned the responsibility of leading APC in Bauchi State, the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, I had a conversation with him on how things could go amicably and APC would not lose. But since those suggestions were not adhered to, as a result, two of my colleagues just jumped ship.”

The senator noted that at the moment, he is the only one in the ruling party.

“I feel very sad because of my role in establishing APC itself in Bauchi. I feel things did not go right,” he added.
