Wana Udobang, a journalist, created Culture Diaries to provide a platform for artists and art lovers to share the stories of their creative process and challenges faced.

Udobang disclosed this during a private screening of the Culture Diaries, Season 2, at the British Council. The event had the likes of Ade Laoye, Efe Paul Azino, Tolu Ajayi and Titilope Sonuga in attendance.

Culture Diaries is an interview series centered on artists, culture creators in the spotlight and how they are moulding the scope of arts and culture in Nigeria.

Udobang spoke on her motivation for the series, “there are a lot of incredible artists doing amazing work. Unfortunately, there aren’t many spaces for them to showcase the incredible work they do.I wanted to create something that would illuminate the works of these individuals and their creative process. So as a lover of all things art and culture, I thought it was time to have a go at a video interview series and thus Culture Diaries was born”.

The Culture Diaries has featured seasoned artists such as Victor Ehikhamenor, Iretiola Doyle and Qudus Onikeku among others.
