One of Nigeria’s richest men, Mr. Femi Otedola on Wednesday spoke on his recent decision to board a commercial bus popularly known as ‘Molue’ in Lagos.
He broke his silence at the public presentation of three books written by Ovation publishers, Mr. Dele Momodu in honour of late MKO Abiola.
Otedola who was among the galaxy of personalities at the presentation held at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA) in Lagos, also spoke about his relationship with Abiola and how he benefited from his magnanimity as a young entrepreneur.
Momodu had earlier thrown a banter to Otedola, saying he rode in a public bus because he is aspiring to run for office in the 2019 elections.
But Otedola in his remarks clarified that he boarded the public bus from Sango Oga in Ogun state with two of his aides to feel the pulse of masses.
"I wanted to feel the pulse of the masses and I entered public bus in London but I was advised to try it in Nigeria to really feel the pulse of the masses. What struck me was that God needs to intervene in this country. People have no reason to suffer. ", he said.
