Why I am into animated comedy – Maiduguri’s upcoming artiste

A Maiduguri-based entertainer, Usman Lawal, popularly known as Lil A Bangis, 20, Maiduguri, said he got into animated comedy because it was popular among youths.

In addition, he said he could make some extra income to take care of his needs.

Bangis, who used phone tools to make motion pictures by changing drawings, created voices in Kanuri and Hausa languages in his cartoons.

The cartoons, which are posted   into his YouTube channel, had kept a lot of audiences entertained and attracted patronage.

Bangis said he hoped to set up a company that could make big impact in the entertainment industry nationwide.

He said the future of the entertainment industry in Nigeria looked brighter as investors like him felt confident of the sector.

And that the growth rate had improved and the revenue was expected to hit billions of Naira.

“Apart from animated comedy, I have mimicked many popular musicians but, in the end, given them the credit for the work they have done.

“Again, by the time the followers of my online channel grow to a certain number, I may  generate revenue from it,” he said.
