Coach of Abia Warriors, Abdullahi Biffo has said he knows most people are still wondering why he accepted the team’s offer at such a difficult time but he did so willingly because he likes challenges.
The former Niger Tornados coach joined the Ocendo Warriors from Umuahia in a move that has surprised many people who felt he would be exposing himself to unnecessary pressure.
Abia Warriors are presently struggling against relegation but the young gaffer said it is in his character to overcome challenges and that is exactly what he wants to do in his present assignment.
He reiterated that as young coach who wants to make a name for himself, when the opportunity came for him to tinker the club, he did not hesitate because he has never doubted his ability to do things that seem impossible.
“I am aware that most people have questioned my decision to take over Abia Warriors but I see nothing wrong with my decision to accept the offer.
“I am a professional who is in love with challenges. Even if it is a risky job, life itself is about risk taking.
“I do not doubt our ability to survive this relegation battle. The management team is headed by a man who knows what is required to keep the team in the topflight and he is giving us the necessary support,” he said.
