Present, was red-hot Nigerian singer D’Banj and members of his entourage, including rapper Ikechukwu and Wande Coal. The concert was billed to begin at 8:00pm, but guests were asked in after 11:00pm. They do their best to entertain guests and succeed. But the main act is still not present. D’Banj and his friends, now seated, begin to get visibly irritated and the singer soon begins to utter verbal complaints.

D’Banj, entourage in tow, leaves the venue in a huff even as R.Kelly appears onstage a few moments later. Close sources to the ‘Koko’ singer said he complained about how Nigerian artistes are treated for tardiness, as opposed to R.Kelly’s delay. “If na my show una for don waka,” he was quoted as having said, after griping about disrespect to Nigerian artistes.

But many hours later, and many R.Kelly hits have been performed by the star, and the show comes to a close, with many a satisfied attendee. “I had a blast,” said one concert-goer, guhing: “I can’t wait for the next music festival”. From other comments, the event was a huge success.
