Dear Editor, our governors are again demanding for the devolution of more powers and proportion of revenue allocated to states. One wonders, to what purpose these requests are being made. It is certainly not for their citizens.
Have they (governors) demonstrated evidence of helping their subjects be it paying salaries, providing housing, rural roads, health care facilities or palliatives? Let them start demonstrating goodwill using what they have now and more shall be added if they mean well. To me, their call is to serve their personal interests rather than the overall public interest.
