North Central Zonal Chairman of Coalition of APC Support Groups, Musa Ali Otigba, has asked the national leadership of the party to zone the party’s 2023 presidential ticket to the region.

Otigba who spoke with newsmen on Sunday, in Abuja, explained that since the return of democracy after several years of military rule, the North Central has not taken a shot at presidency.

He called on the people of the geo-political region to come out massively and participate in the on-going APC membership registration and revalidation exercise to enable them remain relevant in national politics.

“North Central is also part of Nigeria. We have not had an elected president of Nigeria before. We have had a military head of state from the North Central.

“So if the party can give us that opportunity, this time, we will be grateful to the party and to Nigerians. APC is North Central and North Central is APC. So if the party agrees to give us that opportunity, we will welcome it.

“But the issue now is the registration exercise. So we are urging our people of North Central to come out and register. Take advantage of the opportunity the party has availed to register and revalidate.

“With this, we will all have what it takes to participate in the election of our leaders,” he said.

“I thank the leadership of the party and those who conceived the idea to register new members and revalidate old members,” he said.
