Why anaesthetists should their knowledge

National Chairman of the Nigeria Association of Nurse Anaesthetists, NANA,  Mr Saidu  Abugi Ibrahim has emphasized the need for anaesthetists to regularly update their professional expertise.
At a two-day conference in Calabar, he said Anaesthetic  Nurses  play a crucial role in the control of epidemics  outbreak and effective health care delivery.
He said it is therefore important for them to be abreast with modern anaesthetic knowledge and skills in order not to endanger the lives of patients.
He maintained that during outbreak of epidemics like Ebola, yellow fever and cholera, anaesthetists play a crucial role in combating such scourges.
He called on the Midwifery and Nursing Council of Nigeria to use the attendance of scientific conference as part of the prerequisite  for renewal of license for nurse anaesthetists.
