He said, “First of all to be Nigerian president, I think the candidate must have high energy. You see, sometimes you think that they kill some people in Maidiguri, they kill people in Katsina so what do we do about this nonsense? Let me tell you, in serious country as soon as there is a major incident the president arrives; he comforts people; he is on the scene. He visits hospital.

“We want to see somebody who has the capacity, somebody who definitely understands what is the problem. I had said earlier, problems are not difficult to understand. Everybody understands them, but for somebody who is minding of becoming unpopular.

“What is the worst thing that can happen to an incoming president assuming you go there and tackle all the problems head-on? Even if you become unpopular what is the worst that will happen to you? After four years they will re-elect you.

“Is better you go outside there for four years step on everyone’s toe, crush all those who are holding back the country, put the country on the right trajectory and if need be fail to get re-elected four years later. That is a kind of person who will be a hero, that is the kind of person we are looking for.

“We want people who will hit the ground running and tackle all the problems at risk of being unpopular and voted out. This is the kind of change We are looking for.”
