The World Health Organization (WHO) Nigeria Country Office has dissociated itself from text messages offering employment to the public or requesting for payment of some money for that purpose.
A statement from the organization signed by the Country Representative, Dr Rui Gama Vaz, said WHO did not send the text messages adding “WHO does not advertise for employment or vacancies through text messaging and will never solicit for money from prospective candidates.”
The statement said WHO hadreceived disturbing complaints from some of its state offices that some unscrupulous people have been using the name of the organization to advertise for employment, and solicit for interview and administration fees from the people of Nigeria.
