WHO confirms 2 cases of polio

Two cases of a variant polio virus have been confirmed in Birnin Kebbi, the Kebbi State capital.

The state’s Coordinator of the World Health Organisation (WHO), Dr Emmanuel Eyitayo, disclosed this during the flag off of immunisation against polio in the state.

He said Kebbi, Sokoto, Zamfara and Katsina states were worst hit out of the seven states of the North West with cases of the variant polio virus in the country.
