The Executive Director of Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Center (CISLAC), Mr Awwul Musa Rafsanjani, has raised questions about the management of the recovered assets of a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Deizani Alison Madueke.
He raised these questions at a press conference in Abuja, on Tuesday, to mark the opening of a two-day training workshop for journalists on ‘Effective Reporting Of Nigeria’s Asset Recovery And Management System’.

He asked: “Where is Deizani’s gold, her dollars?
“Government must explain to Nigerians where these things are.”
Mr Rafsanjani said that the government must be transparent in its management of recovered assets, saying that, “we need detailed information on all the recovered asset from the government.”
He said that so many recoveries have been made, including the recent recovery of the Ibori loot, “but there’s no information on the recovered asset.”
He said the lack of accountability and transparency in the management of recovered asset is putting Nigeria in a bad light with international communities and insisted that the government be held accountable.
“The government must be held accountable so that we can gain back our respect amongst the international communities,” he stressed.
