When kids marked 2020 World Book Day

The 2020 World Book Day gave children of Gemville Academy, Abuja the opportunity to read out loud from Mike Ekunno’s book ‘Cowboy Lamido.’

World Book Day, which held on March 5, had children’s author, columnist and editor, Ekunno share lessons from his book.

The Executive Director of Gemville Academy, Mrs Ngozi Nd Alichi, who also read from her collection of stories said the school was marking the day in order to encourage interest in reading, writing and listening.

Those who emerged winners were Master Daniel Atsegwasi, Master David Greg-Abdul and Miss Habiba Mohammed. They were awarded gift vouchers alongside their teachers who worked with them on the book project.
