We’ve recommended new census date to Tinubu — NPC

The Chairman of the National Population Commission (NPC), Nasir Isa Kwarra, has disclosed that a new date for the conduct of the census has been recommended to President Bola Tinubu and it is awaiting his approval.

Addressing State House reporters shortly after the swearing-in of 17 Federal Commissioners of the commission yesterday, the NPC boss said the new commissioners would help in with preparations for the conduct of the census.

Asked when the census would take place, he said: “We have not been given a date but we have made recommendations to Mr President and we are awaiting his approval.”
