Fulani leaders (Ardos) have reminded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu that they endorsed his presidential candidacy and voted for him in order to address the challenges facing them as a people.
Speaking during the quarterly Fulbe United for Peace and Development National and Zonal Leadership Consultative Meeting in Abuja on Monday, they also reminded the president of the promises he made to the Fulani in the country during his electioneering campaign.
In his opening remark, the president of the association, Ardo Aliyu Liman Bobboyi, said President Tinubu was conferred with the title of Barkindo of Nigerian Ardo during the endorsement which was a way of sealing the ‘Fulaaku covenant’ with him.
On his part, the South West coordinator of the association, who is the Ardo Abeokuta, Muhammad Kabir Labar, flayed the ban of grazing around Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, without making provision for an alternative.

“It is expected of every person that wants to take over or ban to call stakeholders and discuss the way forward.
“Our business has to be somewhere and the other businesses need to be somewhere. We have all agreed to that. Let’s be considerate with ourselves and discuss the way forward. We don’t call for conflict. We are peace-loving Nigerians, and we have been contributing to the development of this country right from day one,” he said.
When asked about the issue of Northern Elders Forum (NEF) which expressed regret over the decision to vote for President Tinubu, he said the group was not part of any organisation regretting the election of the president.
