The Executive Chairman of Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS), Mr. Jerry Adams has said that the service has eliminated all tax leakages and corrupt practices.
He however disclosed that Kaduna is among the five top states in the generation of Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) collection in the country.
Speaking at the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) Kaduna & District Society’s 2023 annual tax week dinner over the weekend in Kaduna, Adams, who was represented by Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima, said that KADIRS had enthroned an exemplary record in the collection of taxes.
He said the theme of the annual tax week, “Taxation: A panacea to economic growth and development” was apt adding, “Apparently, all our processes are automated and payments can be made online without any hassle. OurWe’ve blocked leakages in tax collection – Kaduna IRS unprecedented revenue efforts in the past years yielded positive outcomes and made us become the cynosure of all eyes of states in recent years”.

Earlier, the Kaduna District Chairman of the CITN, Mr. Dalhatu Abdulazeez, said taxation plays a significant role in the development and progress of the country.
