Weststar Associates Limited has unveiled the new Italian car brand, Fiat Tipo, in Nigeria.
The first model of the Fiat vehicle to be unveiled at Weststar showroom in Lagos is the all new Tipo Sedan equipment which featured new technologies and advanced engineering solutions.
According to the Managing Director/CEO of Weststar Associates Limited, Mirk Plath, despite the present economic circumstances, the company is bringing the Fiat products because of its belief in the resilience of the Nigerian economy.
"Fiat is finally here in Nigeria. It is no longer a dream but now a reality. We are motivated to provide the best varieties of automobile brands", he said during its launch in Lagos.
Plath said the FIAT tipo has a rigid, lightweight body chassis which results in lower weight, first-class handling dynamics and impressive strength in the event of an impact.
He said the car comes with some key safety features such as six airbags and Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with Hill Holder, anti-lock brakes (ABS) complete with electronic brake force distribution (EBD), fog light with cornering function and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
