The Surveyor General of the Federation, Ebisintei Awudu, has said the agency is currently giving a face-lift to all its zonal field headquarters in Katsina, Yobe, Yenagoa, Maiduguri, Enugu and Lagos.
The surveyor general, who revealed this at the opening ceremony of the bi-annual conference of zonal directors and chief resident surveyors, held in Abuja, recently, said further rehabilitation works are ongoing on the access road to Yenagoa Continuously Operating Reference Station (CORS).
Represented by Surv. Muhammad Ahmad Ajingi, the surveyor general said in the area of training, some staff of the Office of the Surveyor General of the Federation (OSGOF) are undergoing post graduate diploma (professional) training in geospatial information production and management.
Others, he revealed, were studying for Masters in Geoinformation Technology at the African Regional Institute for Geospatial Information Science and Technology (AFRIGIST).
