It also said that the only panacea to the recurring fuel scarcity in the nation is the establishment of more refineries and depots.

Speaking with journalists in Sokoto, IPMAN national president, Alhaji Aminu Abdulkadir stated, “the NNPC alone is owing over N 9 billion while private depot operators are also owing about N 17 billion. All these monies belong to our members.”

He lamented that the Petroleum Equalization Fund is yet to settle these claims and also complained that even when claims are paid; it takes more than six months before they are given.

 Alhaji Abdulkadir called for the immediate settlement of the claims to alleviate the suffering of its members  and also debunked allegations that some of their members engaged in the diversion of petroleum products.
