“We’ll use Nigeria’s money for all Nigerians” – Osinbajo

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has disclosed that the federal government will use the country’s wealth to improve the living conditions of Nigerians.

He said this in Bauchi when he commissioned the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Clinic, Traders Market Moni and other projects in the state on Tuesday.

“President Muhammadu Buhari’s commitment to Nigeria is that he will not steal Nigeria’s resources. He will use Nigeria’s money for the benefit of all Nigerians. That is the pledged that he made the day he became president and he has maintain that pledge till now,” he said.

Osinbajo informed that the federal government is determined to ensure that Nigeria’s wealth is used for the benefit of Nigerians.

“We will not allow any part of Nigeria’s money to be used for private property. This country can afford to provide for its own citizens.That is why we are committed and determined to ensure that we provide for every one especially young men and women,” he added.

He said that he has visited many states but he was really impressed in Bauchi to launch the Trader Moni.

‎”We are spending Nigerian money on right things that Nigerians demands. I pray that all of you will prosper and be greater that all of us in the nearest future,” the Vice President said.

In his remarks, the Bauchi governor, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, said the MSMEs Clinic will provided opportunities for youths in the state to develop their businesses.

According to him, 30,000 youths have been provided with jobs through various skills adding that plans are underway to establish Container Depot to ease transport for traders and provide more jobs and business opportunities for youths and other people in the state.

The Bauchi MSMEs clinic is expected cover the North Eastern states of Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa, Taraba, Borno and Yobe states, our correspondent learnt.

Osinbajo also visited traders at Muda Lawal Market in the metropolis who have been benefiting from various Social Investment Programmes (SIPs) interventions.
