Buni, who inaugurated the committee headed by a former governor of Nasarawa State, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja, said the terms of reference for the committee include conducting appropriate engagement between identified groups in each state where there are disputes with a view to bringing about genuine reconciliation and establishing lasting peace and unity in the party.

Others are to consult with party leaders and concerned members as the committee deems necessary with a view to achieving peace therein and to critically examine areas of conflict in the just concluded ward and local government congresses and advance solutions.

Responding on behalf of the committee, Senator Abdullahi Adamu said the committee would deliver on its mandate of reconciling aggrieved members before the convention.

Other members of the committee are the Minister of Special Duties and former Benue State governor, George Akume; former Enugu State governor, Sullivan Chime; former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara; and the Third Republic governor of Jigawa State, Sa’ad Birnin Kudu.

Also, a former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Oluranti Adebule; Secretary to the Kebbi State Government, Suleiman Argungu, and the Commissioner for Health in Cross River State, Beta Edu, are members of the committee. Moses Adeyemo is the secretary.
