Vice President Yemi Osinbajo Friday said Oyo State and Nigeria by extension would miss the intellectual capacity of the late Alaafin Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi.
Osinbajo who stated this during a condolence visit to the Oyomesi, the Oyo State Government and the family of the late monarch, said Oba Lamidi Adeyemi was a very knowledgeable man who could argue brilliantly on many issues despite not being a professor.

The vice president said the late Alaafin had a deep understanding of many issues including international issues, saying he wrote so many papers despite not being academic.
Osinbajo said Oba Adeyemi would be missed by so many people who had interactions with him at various fora.
He expressed the condolence of President Muhammadu Buhari and that of the federal government to the government and people of Oyo State.
