We’ll boost productivity through innovation – FG

The Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani has stated that the only way to increase the nation’s productivity is through the application of innovation and technology.

He stated this while delivering his speech at the 2023 edition of the Nordic- Nigeria connect trade conference in Lagos with the theme, “Innovation for a greater future”

According to the minister, the biggest contributor of services is telecommunication hence the country should build partnerships that would help its citizens.

The Director-General for Trade and Promotion of Sweden, Per-Arne Hjelmborn during his address stated that Sweden wants to be a strategic partner to Nigeria and the rest of the African continent.

“Swedish companies provide ground-breaking technology and solutions in sectors such as renewable energy, energy efficiency, digitalization, ICT and technology, transport, health, water and waste management. Many Swedish companies have been present in Nigeria for decades and can offer innovative solutions to match Nigeria’s ambitions and efforts to build greener and more efficient societies.”
