He noted that citizens should expect victory against Boko Haram and ISWAP elements from the armed forces.
He charged the troops to be determined, admitting that the federal government has provided enough tools and morale to ensure that the 12-year-old Boko Haram war ends.
“What you should be expecting is victory. We are getting the necessary assistance. We on our part want to ensure that we shall bring this menace to a logical conclusion within the shortest possible time.
“That is our mission. We will continue to ensure that we terminate anyone that is opposing our victory,” Gen. Musa assured.
The outgoing commander, Major General Felìx Omoigui, stressed that he had been around the theatre of operation for the past one year with well-trained and disciplined troops, adding that with what was on the ground, the insurgency war would soon come to an end.
“We have disciplined troops, well-trained soldiers. They are very hardworking and I am sure the Theatre Commander, would bring the war to an end with what he has seen on ground,” he said.
It would be recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari gave a marching order to troops on Thursday during his visit to Maimalari cantonment in Maiduguri.
