The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar has vowed that the military will continue to sustain bombardment on Boko Haram insurgents’ enclaves until they are no more.
Sadique stated this during his assessment visit to ‘Operations Green Sweep’ in Maiduguri this weekend.
He said that the Green Sweep will continue to support Theater Operations and Multinational Joint Task Force against insurgents.
“The operations is going on well from reports we received, the objective of this operations were clearly defined from the beginning, from what we received we have subsequently achieved what we wanted to achieved.
“We will continue to operate until we are satisfied and have fully achieved our objective. Yes, objectives are very clear to further degrade the insurgents and make it difficult for them to have freedom of action from where they are operating from.
“I believe we have achieved what we set out to achieved,” Sadique said.
